French GP will continue to host the most prestigious motor racing, MotoGP, until the year 2016. This certainty following a deal between race promoter Claude Michy and MotoGP rights holders, Dorna.
Dorna CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, signed a contract duration of five years at Le Mans paddock, near the French Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (05/14/2011). He admitted thrilled with the new arrangements so that the French GP will continue.
"We have a good relationship with Claude Michy and PHA, and the Grand Prix of France have consistently built successful," said Ezpeleta. "We're happy to continue this cooperation with Claude until 2016."
And Philibert Claude Michy added, "The Grand Prix of France is a key international event in the French sports calendar, and our cooperation with Dorna Sports is a tool to make a success so we are very pleased to ensure the future of the French series."
Motor Racing in France was first implemented in 1920 in Le Mans, while Albi became the first stage to hold the premiere class victories in 1951. Since 2000, Le Mans Bugatti Circuit was always to host the race in every season.
