Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Tiago after secured his departure from Juventus.
The 30-year-old, who had his contract with the Serie A side over by mutual consent, has signed a two-year deal with Atletico Madrid, with whom he spent last season on loan. Tiago struggled to make an impact in Juve, making just 42 appearances for the club after joining the Serie A outfit in 2007 from Lyon.
A statement on the Atletico site say: "Tiago is an Atletico Madrid player after his contract with Juventus was ended and he has contracted a two-year deal with the Red and Whites."
The Portugal international, who had one year left on his contract with I Bianconeri, will get the opportunity to make his first appearance since contracting permanently in Atletico's UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round tie versus Stromsgodset on 28 July.
