Arsenal sell Nasri to Man.City

Gunners have confirmed they've agreed to sell Samir Nasri to Manchester City.

In a statement on their official site, Arsenal stated: "Arsenal can confirm that they've agreed conditions for Samir Nasri to move to City. The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical exam and formal registration processes."

The 24-year-old, who featured in Arsenal's weekend home loss to Liverpool, had been angling for the move for weeks, after big-spending City dangled a significant salary rise and the Londoners reluctantly agreed to do business as he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Arsenal admitted Nasri to travel to Manchester for a medical, meaning he will not feature in the Gunners' crucial UEFA Champions League play-off 2nd leg at Udinese tomorrow.

Nasri spent 3 years with Arsenal after joining from Marseille. His exit is a further blow for Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, who has already lost captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona and who now has to deal with a number of injuries and suspensions.

Wenger also faces a two-match touchline ban from UEFA after he was charged with breaking the terms of a one-match ban during the 1st leg against Udinese.

And the Frenchman is also under pressure in the league, where 2 matches have brought one point and zero goals to date after the Liverpool loss followed an opening draw with Newcastle.
