Despite first having to defeat Luxembourg, Bosnia are already thinking about match France Vs Bosnia next Tuesday that will decide who completes top of UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group D.
The Bosnians sit 2nd in the table heading into the final 2 rounds of game, one point behind France and 4 ahead of a Romania side who are all but out of contention.
A win over Luxembourgwould secure Safet Susic's side at least 2d place in the group D - and the play-off place that goes with it - even before facing France in Paris on 11 October. Last year, France ran out 2-0 successes in the return fixture in Sarajevo with goals from Karim Benzema and Florent Malouda.
"I still believe France favourites as they'll have home advantage in France Vs Bosnia match. They proved their caliber in the 1st match in Sarajevo, and in the qualifiers they've played since," Susic stated. "It would be crazy to take that we're going to Paris to win. Our goal was, and still is, to accomplish the play-offs in."
"We have never talked about the possibility of qualifying directly for the European Championship, but as athletes we have the right to hope that we can reach a lot in one game," he added. "We'll play unburdened and this is where I see our opportunity."
Edin Dzeko insists that the mood in the camp is well as decision time approaches. "We'll be pleased just to qualify for the play-offs but gaining the European Championship finals would be the best way to crown our run of fine results and good performances," he stated. "We have the character and the calibre to compete with anyone, so why not the French?"
