Japan Pro Surfing Tour was held in Bali

Japan Pro Surfing Tour was held in Bali. A total of 200 surfers joined in the Japan Pro Surfing Association (JPSA) held a tournament "Japan Pro Surfing Tour" at the Keramas Beach, District Blabatuh, Gianyar, Bali, at 7 to 14 November 2011.

 
Chairman of the Committee of the Japan Pro Surfing Tour, Ida Bagus Rai, in Gianyar, on Monday, said the race was divided into three criteria, namely the long board, short board, and "legend board".

"A total of 200 participants was the result of selection from a selection of hundreds of the best surfers in Japan in July last. Next, the champion will be determined from the results of a tour in Bali," he said.

Head of Tourism Gianyar Regency, Anak Agung Ari Brahmanta, explained that the Coast Keramas is one of the best surf beaches popular with surfers.


Keramas frequently held beach surfing internationally, such as JPSA, Billabong, and so on. No less than three international event was held.

In addition to Keramas Beach, there are several beaches in Gianyar regency which has the characteristics of waves suitable for surfing, among Coast Customs and Coast Cucukan.

"With the international competitions are often held this, we hope to grow new seeds of local surfers," he said.

For the channel and the ability of local surfers, Ari Brahmanta plans to hold a championship on the anniversary of Gianyar regency.

Gianyar Regent Tjokorda Oka Artha Sukawati Ardhana after opening Japan Pro Surfing Tour congratulated the athletes compete.

He was honored for the organization because it can be a promotional event for Gianyar Regency and Bali.

As well as the cultural arts, Gianyar also has a natural potential for sports activities. "After the events the athletes and organizers can promote Keramas and Herzliya Beach as one of the beaches with the best waves in the world for the surf," he said.
