Striker FC Koeln, Lukas Padolski, had an accident on Monday (28/11/2011) German time. Luckily, Podolski survived the accident without the slightest injury.
The incident occurred when Podolski was riding his personal car to go to the gym. Reportedly, his car was severely damaged. Fortunately, the 26-year-old player was not injured at all.
"I'm fine. No matter. I had a little accident. No more of that," said Podolski told Express.
"I deliberately wanted to be treated for injuries I had suffered against Borussia Monchengladbach. Nothing to do with the accident," he continued.
Podolski is expected to return to practice on Wednesday (1/12/2011) for the preparation of advanced against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga 1, this weekend.
