Andrea Dovizioso greatly saddened by the death of good friend and rival, Marco Simoncelli. To commemorate the "Supersic", who died in a tragic accident at the Malaysian GP, Dovizioso made a new tattoo.
Rider that will strengthen the Tech 3 Yamaha in the 2012 season showcased her new tattoo is through drawing on his official Twitter account, @ Andrea Dovizioso. He said: "After what happened, this Polynesian tattoos for Sic, with the sun god (life), frigate birds (destiny), and a gecko."
The words on the tattoo translates as 'I am the ruler of my destiny, but only fate that knows the end of my journey.'
Dovizioso and Simoncelli have become rivals since he was racing with mini motors, and their feud continued until the MotoGP race at the track. Nevertheless, two Italian rider was never vindictive.
But when Simoncelli had died of a tragic accident at the Sepang Circuit, Dovizioso felt very lost. He admitted it difficult to accept this fact.
Having secured their 2011 MotoGP ranks third, after the finish ahead of Repsol Honda team-mate, Dani Pedrosa, in the ultimate series in Valencia, which is racing after the death of Simoncelli, Dovizioso said:
"On the last lap, I think Marco and I finally made it here, on the track where I was always trouble. Marco help me in this challenging mission. Ciao Marco."
