The news of the planned departure of Manchester United's Wayne Rooney was only a issue. Rooney himself and the club immediately denied it and called it just nonsense.
Joint statement delivered by both parties, Friday (06/01/2012), to respond to news that is exhaled by the The Independent claiming that Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, will sell it after a poor relationship with the 26-year-old attacker.
"Manchester United and Wayne Rooney made aware by an article in the Independent daily newspaper. We have not seen The details however we can provide assurance to all United supporters that the manager and the club is committed to Wayne and Wayne Rooney are also committed to the manager and the club," the statement said delivered as quoted by AFP.
The statement also mentions that the coaches and the players always uphold respect and commitment to each other to continue to work together in the upcoming season. In addition to the official statement that, personally, Rooney denied the news via his twitter account.
"The Independent to talk about something that is definitely not useless. My future is with Manchester United and the club and I am fully committed to them," he said.
Rooney also explained that he did not have any problem with Ferguson after the disciplinary sanctions that the Scot was given to him.
