Chelsea got some bad news regarding the condition of one of their player. Petr Cech suffered finger fractured and is expected to miss a few games.
Cech injury was obtained when Chelsea face Newcastle in the Premier League last weekend. After examination, the finger bones 30-year goalie apparently cracks.
Cech who are following the national team training camp in Prague, Czech Republic for a friendly match against Turkey it was then decided to return to London. He will undergo further examination in Cobham, Chelsea headquarters.
As a result of this injury, Cech has been ruled out defending the Czech Republic. Cech also threatened could be counterproductive for Chelsea at Wigan game in the Premier League this weekend as well as the first leg round of 32 Europa League against Sparta Prague.
"I hit the ball and the head of a Newcastle player at the same time. I think it is okay but I did with the X-ray examination as a precaution," said Cech told Mirror.
"However, it shows any cracks. First leg in Prague will depend on whether we find a solution that at the same time does not threaten my health and I can perform well."
"If I can not give 100%, I'm not going to play. With splint (small board to bind up the broken bones,-ed.) Is now, it will not be possible," he said.
