Steve McClaren Resigns From Twente

Steve McClaren declare his resignation as coach of FC Twente, although the results obtained in the Dutch Eredivisie club was not too bad.

Twente is now ranked fifth on the standings. McClaren's resignation comes after Twente's 2-1 defeat versus Heerenveen last weekend.


 
McLaren brings Twente won in 2010, and resigned. He then returned to the club in January 2012. But McClaren difficult to match as the previous season
achievement.

Throughout the weekend, McClaren in talks with club president Joop Munsterman, but the coach did not meet an agreement on guarantees future.

"You talk about the support needed players, we need that as coaches, we need them as managers, we need it as a staff," said McClaren told Sky Sports.

"I saw the guarantee, and thought they would not come. Not just for now, but also in the future, trying to build Twente. "
