Russian-born tennis player, Anna Kournikova, will join the contest to lose weight on U.S. television station, "The Biggest Loser. " According to NBC, Wednesday (05/25/2011), Kournikova will be a coach.
Kournikova (29), which had become the center of attention on the tennis court because of her beauty despite never won in singles, will join the show in September.
The beauty who was born in Moscow and now a U.S. citizen and lives in Miami, Florida, it says, he has long been a fan of the TV show. In that event, the participants trying to lose weight mostly through diet and exercise program aggressively to win cash prizes.
"For me, as a former professional tennis player and certified trainer, this is an incredible opportunity to share common interests in order to stay fit, for all residents of homes in America," Kournikova said in a statement, as quoted by Reuters Life!
Head of the NBC reality show, Paul Telegdy, said that network television is sure Kournikova will be a strong motivator for participants. Thus, they want to stay fit and healthy.
Kournikova started following tennis competitions at the age of eight years and made his debut in the arena grand slam at the age of 15 years at the U.S. Open. He has never won in singles.
However, in doubles, Kournikova never won a grand slam title with Martina Hingis in 1999 and 2002. He also won similar fame as a model and her love story with pop star Enrique Iglesias.
