In a rematch of last year's intense FIFA World Cup South Africa™ draw, USA Vs Slovenia for an international friendly on 15 November at Ljubljana, the US Soccer Federation said on Tuesday.
USA Vs Slovenia will come four days after the Americans face France in Paris during an international fixture window that will allow Jurgen Klinsmann to secure a full line-up of players.
"USA Vs Slovenia is another good opportunity for our players to build on what we have been working on for the last few months," Klinsmann said.
The Slovenians were eliminated from UEFA EURO 2012 in group play, finishing third behind Serbia and surprise-packages Estonia. Since their first match as an independent nation in 1992, Slovenia have reached the FIFA World Cup in 2002 and 2010.
"Slovenia is a small nation that has achieved big results," Klinsmann said. "To have qualified for two World Cups in such a short time is an incredible achievement. I've seen them play in qualifying and the last World Cup and I was very impressed."
Slovenia drew 2-2 with the USA last June at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, the European side seizing a two-goal lead at half-time only to see the Americans equalise in the second half.
