10 Candidate Best African Player 2011. Federation of African Football (CAF) officially released the 10 candidates winning the African Player of the Year Award or the best African player of 2011.
All three players from the Ivory coast is the Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba, Arsenal new players Gervinho, and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. Interestingly, all three players are now equally active in the Premier League.
Of the 10 names, only one player who played in the Italian club, namely Kevin-Prince Boateng, Ghana midfielder who plays in AC Milan. Two other players from Ghana is a young striker Olympique Marseille, Andre Ayew, and Al Ain club striker, Asamoah Gyan.
Africa's best player award winner in 2011 will be selected based on voting by coaches throughout the African nations, and was announced as the top event in Accra, Ghana, on 22 December.
