Maradona sent a letter to Cassano. Sudden illness suffered by Antonio Cassano was surprising. The player was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.
One of world soccer icon Diego Maradona, was deeply shocked by what happened with Cassano. Argentine soccer legend was also sent a letter to Cassano by Il Corriere dello Sport.
"This is a difficult time in which Cassano should be strong, think about themselves, their families and their children. I think a lot about you and be surprised by what happened," wrote Maradona.
"When met in Rome, I know you have a strong character and positive. Affection of around will help you overcome this," he continued.
"I hope football can see you again. Because, the fantasy of a player like you is never enough," added Maradona in his letter.
