English Football Federation (FA) states, Luis Suarez guilty to allegations of racial harassment on Patrice Evra. To Suarez, FA sanctions suspended eight games and fined 40,000 pounds.
"Independent Regulatory Commission today (Tuesday, 12.20.2011) states that the alleged violations committed by Luis Suarez proved and issued a ban on playing for eight matches and fined 40,000 pounds, while awaiting an appeal," said the FA.
"On 16 November 2011, the FA dropped the lawsuit against Luis Suarez over alleged breach of FA Rule E3, is associated with a match between Liverpool and Manchester United, October 16, 2011."
"Suarez is entitled to appeal against the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission to the Board of Appeals. Appeals must be filed within 14 days from the issuance of this decree."
"The punishment will be delayed until there is certainty about the appeal or until the expiration of the appeal or if Suarez decided not to appeal," the FA said in a statement.
