Spanish club, FC Barcelona, will soon set up a football academy named FCB Escola in Indonesia. Academy is planned to be located in Sentul, Bogor regency, West Java will be opened in September this year.
In acceptance of students, academic standing thanks to cooperation with the Threesixty sport, Excellion Analytics and FC Barcelona this will limit the approximately 250 children each year consisting of between 5-11 years of age and the age of 12-18 years. As for the training program, the academy will direct staff to involve a number of Barcelona.
Threesixty Sport Marketing, Dario Fauri Gambit, says the goal is the establishment of this academy to give Indonesian children a chance to develop their talents and skills in football. According to him, this academy has a long vision, to create a number of quality players for the future of Indonesia.
"So the target in the presence of this academy is the first 10 years of education in the FCB Escola Indonesia will go into four of Asia, and will get tickets for the World Cup in 2026," Dario said at a news conference at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Wednesday (25/01/2012).
"And this certainly is a pride for Indonesia, because it will be the only country that was founded FC Barcelona is outside Spain," he said again.
In the same occasion, Project Director of FC Barcelona, Xevi Merce, said FCB Escola Indonesia academy will not only offer a pleasant atmosphere of the academy, but also will build the character of children through soccer. All courses in the academy will receive training directly from the Barcelona academy that was the Spaniard at this time.
"We certainly will adjust to the culture in Indonesia, ranging from the education system to exercise patterns. So that children can produce a social environment for mental well knows winning and losing," said Xevi.
In addition to coaching football program, students will also be attending various events, such as summer camps, seminars, training clinics at the Camp Nou for two weeks, and watch "El Clasico" directly. The Academy is also a year will provide a place for about 12 to 20 Indonesian children who have the talent to get a scholarship.
