When other players are following the tournament in various cities, Novak Djokovic chose to fly to Melbourne to defend his Australian Open men's singles champion. Djokovic arrived in Melbourne on Wednesday (01/04/2012) evening local time and immediately practiced the next day.
Under the hot sun, the 2008 Australian Open champion and 2011 arrived at the Rod Laver Arena on Thursday afternoon to practice. The first thing he did when he arrived at the main square of Melbourne Park tennis complex is the type of field kissing plexicushion blue.
