Shocking news came from Shakhtar Donetsk coach, Mircea Lucescu. Former Inter Milan architect was reportedly hospitalized after a car accident in his hometown, in Romania.
As reported by AP, 66-year-old coach was being treated in hospital along with another passenger, after the SUV he was driving was hit by a tram.
Bogdan Oprita, head of the city paramedics said, Lucescu was conscious, but suffered an injury in the chest. As reported Gsp.ro, Lucescu suffered three broken ribs as a result of the accident, and will undergo surgery to remove blood that collects in the chest cavity.
Lucescu began to train Ukrainian club, Shakhtar Donetsk in 2004 and had offered five league titles and the UEFA Cup in 2009 for the squad which is headquartered in Donbass Arena. In addition to Inter, he also has coached at Turkish giants Galatasaray.
