French rally driver Stephane Peterhansel won the Dakar Rally 2012, Sunday (15 / 1) after the last stage is controlled by ace racer, Robby Gordon.
Peterhansel followed the stage to the last 14 or 43 minutes before winning its closest competitor, Nani Roma from Spain. It ranks 10 and closed to within 3 minutes 12 seconds behind Gordon.
Peterhansel finish the rally with the distance of 8400 kilometers between Mar del Plata in Argentina and Lima in Peru with a travel time of 38 hours 54 minutes 46 seconds.
Spaniard, Nani Roma was in second position with 41 minutes 56 seconds adrift behind Peterhansel. While the South African racer Ginel De Villiers at third place and closed to within 1 hour 13 minutes 25 seconds.
Bike category Cyril Despres of France won the riding KTM. He noted travel time 43 hours 28 minutes 11 seconds ahead of Marc Coma and with 53 minutes 20 seconds adrift.
