Spanish motorcycle rider, Alberto Contador while leading the race Giro d'Italia after winning the ninth stage of the race on Sunday (15 / 5).
Contador came out as champion by taking the distance between Messina to finish in the top of the mountain Etna. Rider that reinforce the Spanish club, Saxo Bank is beating its nearest competitor, Jose Rujano with a distance 1.5 kilometers.
Rujano, rider from Venezuela occupies the second position, while the Italian rider, Stefano Garzelli was third, with about 50 seconds adrift.
Contador now leads Giro d'Italia with the advantage of about one minute.
