World's third-ranked tennis player, Andy Murray, made sure to participate in the Brisbane International tournament in preparation for the Australian Open next year.
Murray says it is ready present in Queensland as part of preparations for the tournament's first grand slam Australian Open.
"I like to visit Australia, but has never come to Queensland," said Murray, who had suffered a groin injury in the ATP World Tour finals.
"I just heard a lot of good things about the Brisbane International, so I'd love to get a chance to compete there," said Murray.
Brisbane International tennis tournament will take place on January 1 to 8. In the women's tournament will be followed by big names such as Serena Williams, Samantha Stosur, Maria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters.
