Mali advanced to the semifinals after eliminating the African Nations Cup 2013 hosts South Africa. Mali through because 3-1 win in a penalty shootout after both teams draw 1-1 in normal time.
The

The result left Mali advanced to the semifinals with a 3-1 victory over hosts South Africa in the round of penalty kicks, after both teams shared a 1-1 draw in normal time. In the semifinals, Mali will await the winner of the match between Ivory Coast Vs Nigeria.
