Chinese swimmer, Sun Yang, punishment as too many commercial activities and forget duty as an athlete. Sports School of Zhejiang, where Sun Yang studying, hold monthly cash London Olympic gold medalist was due to miss the workout for 40 days.
"Although Sun Yang has realized his mistake and promised not to repeat it, we still punish him. He should know that here the rule applies for everyone," said the dean of the school, Li Jianshe.
Sun Yang is the first Chinese athlete to win gold medals in Olympic swimming branch. He won two medals in freestyle, last August 2012. This success has made his name became very popular among Chinese sports fans.
Sun Yang reportedly clashed with his coach, Zhu Zhigen, who also felt the athletes spend too much time for a commercial event. Zhu Zhigen has been train Sun Yang for 10 years.
