Copa Del Rey Final Held At The Bernabeu

Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) decided to hold Copa del Rey final at Real Madrid's stadium, Santiago Bernabeu on May 17, 2013.

The final itself will display Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Each side gets ticket allotment of 30,000 shares.

The decision was taken after RFEF representatives held meetings with representatives of the Madrid and Atletico for 30 minutes, Friday (03/08/2013). One of the reasons for choosing Santiago Bernabeu because it has more capacity (85,454 spectators) when compared to the headquarters of Atletico, Vicente Calderon (54 940).

"Our relationship with Atletico amazing and it proved once again with this agreement, which was made very quickly. We are very pleased that the final will be held at the Bernabeu. Seating capacity is very important," said Director of Madrid, Emilio Butragueno.

Secretary General of the RFEF, Jorge Perez, adding, "It makes sense if the final is played in Madrid, in a stadium that can be attended by a large number of supporters."
