Nadal wins seventh title

Rafael Nadal beat fourth seed David Ferrer 6-4 7-5, Sunday (4/17/2011), for a seventh title in Monte Carlo Masters tournament.

This is the 37th victory for Nadal on clay. In this field he is not undefeated since 2003. This is also the title of the 44th and 19th in the Masters tournament.

Nadal lost the final last three games with two defeats from one of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. This is the first title for Nadal since he won the Japan Open in October.

Nadal's last defeat at the event felt the Monte Carlo Masters from Guillermo Coria in 2003. In 2004 he was absent because of injury.
