Who says athletes from Asia can not be rich? In a Sports Illustrated survey, Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao menemapti ranked fourth as the world's richest athletes.
Pacquiao, boxing world champion WBO welterweight ranks even two richest among athletes outside the United States. He has earning 52.5 million dollars and only lost to the Swiss, Roger Federer who earn 52.8 million dollars.
The top five non-American athletes who earn the biggest of which is the Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso (45 million U.S. dollars), Argentine footballer and Barcelona, Lionel Messi, who collected 43.8 million U.S. dollar and ahead of its main competitor, Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal and Real Madrid for 38.8 million U.S. dollars.
As for the U.S. athletes who entered the top five names among other NBA stars LeBron James with 44.5 million U.S. dollars, American football player (NFL) Peyton Manning (38 million U.S. dollars) and baseball player Alex Rodriguez (36 million U.S. dollars).
Sports Illustrated survey conducted include salary, bonuses and advertising revenue.
