Carlos Tevez suspended by Man. City for 2 weeks. Man City confirmed the news this night following a telephone conference involving senior staff, including Khaldoon al-Mubarak.
The suspension comes in the wake of Tevez's refusal to play versus FC Bayern yesterday and seems sure to be the start of a drawn-out disciplinary action that will finish a stormy two-year period with Man. City.
"Manchester City can confirm that Carlos Tevez has been suspended until further notice for a max of 2 weeks," said a short statement released by Man. City.
"Carlos Tevez suspension is pending a full review into his alleged conduct during Tuesday evening's 2-0 defeat by Fc Bayern. The player won't be considered for choice or take part in training whilst the review is under way."
