Manuel Neuer is desiring to break the 1,000-minute clean sheet mark versus Hoffenheim, having last conceded a goal about 2 months ago.
Borusia Moenchengladbach are the only club to have beaten or even scored versus FC Bayern in any competition this season after their 1-0 win on 7 August and Manuel Neuer has now gone 928 minutes without conceding a goal for FC Bayern. FC Bayern picked up their 10th consecutive win with a 2-0 victory over Man.City in Champions League and confidence is sky-high.
Manuel Neuer will pass the 1,000-minute mark if he shuts out fourth-placed Hoffenheim until at least the 72nd minute, but the 25-year-old states the secret of his success is down to his team-mates' heavy work. "I've to congratulate the entire squad, everyone helps in defence and we all try to avoid to conceding a goal," stated Neuer.
"It's normal that a goalkeeper wants to achieve that, but it's remarkable that the forwards are so involved in that regard too. We're playing every 3 or 4 days now, but despite that we're all in good condition and that truly helps."
