Former U.S. Open champion, Juan Martin Del Potro, the first victory in 2011, on Monday (1/10/2011). Playing for 200 minutes, which is also the durability test, Del Potro, who use the facilities wildcards, won 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 over Feliciano Lopez in the Sydney International tournament.
22-year-old tennis player from Argentina is playing again after a wrist injury in late May last year. And, this is the third tournament pascacedera the Australian Open after appearing in 2010. These results show encouraging progress since the two previous tournaments, Del Potro always foundered in the first round.
One of the two failures were experienced when the fight Lopez in Tokyo. Well, the victory at the Sydney Olympic Centre has also become a means of revenge against the sixth seed from Spain.
"We played a wonderful game, very tight," said Del Potro, who will then fight the German tennis player, Florian Mayer, who remove the wildcard players from England, James Ward, with a 7-5, 6-0.
"Feliciano is a fantastic player in this field type, and I'm back playing good tennis. I feel good in every game, and finally won a game (after) a year."

"I need to continue to work to keep the opportunity," he said. "You know, this is a long journey for the top 10 again, but I'm ready to try."
"I am happy with this victory, for everything .... I really enjoy this life. If you can play without pain, of course much better."
