Lorenzo Satisfied Being in Position Three

MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo was disappointed with the Qatar Grand Prix qualifying results on Saturday (03/19/2011), although only ranked at three and at odds of 0.8 seconds from the Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, who held the pole position. The reason, he had thought it would be far adrift with Honda team, which was very dominant at the Losail Circuit.

Indeed, the last pre-season training earlier this week, Lorenzo had complained about the performance of the bike. Yamaha rider said that they should set a good motor if you want to fight for the victory in the 2011 MotoGP series opener.

Now, with the result of this qualifier, where he was in third position, Lorenzo greeted positively. He was optimistic on Sunday night to realize the dream to get on the podium.

"Qualifying is very difficult. Trek is better than normal this weekend so the lap time for every rider can be improved," said Lorenzo.

"We've done it with the maximum. We are very pleased with the record time was achieved and our work on this weekend. For, if people tell me that I should be able to make a 1 minute 54.9 seconds last week, I certainly do not believe .

"But now we can make a 1 minute 54.9 seconds and we were in the first row, so for tomorrow, I think we could reach the podium, or trying to do it. We'll do it."

In the race tomorrow, Lorenzo will be in the first grid with Repsol Honda duo, Stoner and Dani Pedrosa, who in a row starting from the position 1-2.
