Federation of International Motorsport, FIM, confirmed that there were six new teams to offer contracts for participation by IRTA MotoGP World Championship 2012. That does not include teams that are competing contestants now.
Among the applicants, there are Marc VDS Racing - which had helped in developing the chassis Suter 'Moto1' -, the current leader of Moto2 Kiefer Racing team and Andrea Iannone, Speed? Master.
A brief statement from the agency confirming that they received more applications than places available. Thus, it encourages them to focus on a team that already compete at the level of Moto2, during the selection process.
6 teams that have been proposed contract are:
- By Queroseno Racing (BQR)
- Forward Racing
- Kiefer Racing
- Marc VDS Racing
- GP Racing Paddock (Interwetten)
- Speed Master
However, this is all still tentative. Application of a new factory that wants to participate in MotoGP continues to be evaluated. More information will be provided once a decision has been taken.
