Xavi Hernandez has just extended the duration of his contract with Barcelona. 33 year-old midfielder said that he did want to play much longer for Los Cules.
Barca and Xavi has signed a new contract until June 2016. In a new cooperation was not mentioned nominal amount paid by Azulgrana to tie Xavi longer.
After sign new contract, Xavi also expressed his happiness. In fact, he said that day to signatories contract with the club is a special day for him.
"This is a special day because it (signing a new contract) it means a few years longer in Barca, this is what I want," said Xavi as Barca's official website reported.
"My main choice is to stay here. Clubs tried and I am very happy," he added.
Xavi conscious age was no longer young, did not want to discuss when he would decide to retire.
"I know there is demand for it (retirement), but I just want to play for a few more years," added the player who has contributed 20 trophies for Barca.
