McLaren unveiled their new car by the name of McLaren MP4-28 for the Formula 1 2013 at the Technology Centre, Thursday (01/31/2013). The car's design has no radical change, although a slight change.
The event was preceded by exhibiting one previous car ever win the world title. After that, the two rider, Jenson Button and Sergio Perez, unveil the McLaren MP4-28.
As with last season, the new car is not showing stepped-nose. McLaren chose to use a more sloping snout and slender. McLaren said that the McLaren MP4-28 is not just a refinement of last year's car which won seven races, but suffered a redesign in some areas, especially around the muzzle, front suspension, the rear bodywork and sidepod
Nevertheless, Button claimed the new car is "very different". He said can not wait to drive the new car for the first time. He wanted to sit behind the wheel of McLaren MP4-28 in testing the official pre-season at Jerez on Tuesday (5/2).
"The winter is long but fun," said the British rider, world champion in 2009.
"But Formula One driver want to drive back and feel the speed again.
"For this to be an interesting couple of weeks, build a car and finally saw one last night. It may look like a car last year, but under the skin is completely different.
"That's why it's so appealing. They have changed enough to make a difference. You are entering a season with the goal of winning the World Championship and that's what we did."
