Female golfer Annika Sorenstam gave birth to a baby boy earlier than he had expected.

Sorenstam announced the birth of his son through his Twitter account on Monday, just hours after the baby is born. "Surprise! me to the lab and William Nicholas McGee was born at 6:33 pm," writes Sorenstam.

Couple Sorenstam and her husband, Mike McGee already has a daughter named Ava.

Sorenstam, Swedish golfer resigned from the LPGA Tour U.S. in late 2008 with 72 victories during his career.
