McLaren team decided to not follow the official practice session on Thursday (10/3/11) in Barcelona. They will replace it when completing the program on Saturday (12/3/11).
In accordance with the plan, formal training in Barcelona will take place starting on Tuesday (8/3/11) through Saturday. However, unlike its rivals, based in the Woking team will only go down to the track on Tuesday and Wednesday, then back again on Friday and Saturday. They missed practice on Thursday.
According to McLaren, there was no reason for that detail about the decision. However, it is suspected they just wanted to "rest" one day instead of having to exercise for five consecutive days.
In practice today, Jenson Button will go down to the track to undergo final testing. 2009 world champion will be returned to the show on Friday. While team-mate, Lewis Hamilton, will perform at the track on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
