Cagliari president Massimo Cellino arrested by local police, following an investigation into the construction of the Stadio Is Arenas, the club's headquarters.
Besides Massimo Cellino, police also arrested Mauro Contini as Quartu mayor where the stadium is located, as well as public works officials Stefano Lilliu, Thursday (14/02/2013).
As proclaimed Football Italia, the current authorities reportedly been investigating the possibility of fraud and deception efforts in the Stadio Is Arenas renovation project.
2012-13 season Cagliari occupies Stadio Is Arenas, after leaving the Stadio Sant'Elia following a disagreement with the local government council.
Along this season, Stadio Is Arenas way which underwent renovation in 2012, the headquarters of Cagliari also marked a number of issues related to potential security threats.
