Rafael Nadal prepares to find his first title this year with victory in the Chile Open. Spanish tennis player continues to show his best form after injury for eight months.
Nadal managed to advance to Chile Open semifinals after beating compatriot Daniel Gimeno-Traver with 6-1 and 6-4 results.
In the semifinal round oRafael Nadal will face the winner of the match between third-seeded Frenchman Jeremy Chardy with tennis player from Italian Paolo Lorenzi.
This tournament is the first test for Nadal, who missed the Australian Open due to a disturbance in the stomach. Nadal, who has won eleven Grand Slam tournament as a top seed in the Chile Open tournament.
After completion of the Chile Open, Nadal plans to appear on tournament in Brazil and Mexico before then competed at the Indian Wells and Miami which use hard courts.
Next tournament target by Nadal is a prestigious tournament French Open which Nadal managed to win seven times. Nadal suffered a knee injury last year made him miss the chance to play in the U.S. Open and the London Olympics.
Nadal was ranked number one in the world has now also slipped to number five.
