Bruno Senna Join World Endurance Championship

Bruno Senna decided to leave Formula 1. The former Renault driver is taking such a step, after agreeing to sign a contract with the Aston Martin to perform in the World Endurance Championship this year.

Senna "fired" Williams team at the end of last season. After that, he was linked with two other teams in F1, the Force India and Caterham. However, although Force India yet to decide who will fill the cockpit is still blank, 29-year-old rider to change direction by signing a contract with Aston Martin.

"It's a big surprise for us," said the Brazilian driver to theCheckeredFlag.co.uk.

"We are looking for different options to try and achieve this year and my physio, James Milligan, knowing Darren Turner and they are already talking maybe 10 days ago, maybe less than that, but we very quickly agreed.

"The move is coming very, very late and very, very fast. Course we are very happy because we agree on everything very quickly and in racing, is not always easy."

Senna will use number 99 with Fred Makoweicki in following the competition. Meanwhile, Rob Bell will join them for the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Spa 6 Hours.
